Nuclear medicine is a type of imaging that assesses the function of organs and diagnoses diseases. Because molecular activity is visible, nuclear medicine makes it possible to identify diseases in their earliest stages and evaluate a patient’s immediate response to treatment.
How Do I Prepare for My Exam?
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete the check-in process and any necessary paperwork.
Please bring a list of all your medications.
Please inform us if you may be pregnant. We cannot perform this exam if there is a chance you are pregnant. If you are breast feeding, you will be required to stop for 4 hours after your exam.

*Injection followed by 1 hour of imaging 2-3 hours later.
+Drink four (4) 8-ounce glasses of water, (patients under 80 lbs. only 2 glasses) during the 2 hours before your appointment. The water is to ensure you are fully hydrated but you do not need a full bladder, so you may void as required
